In my other website someone sent me a private message and asked if what day is the Sabbath day. S/he was confused because according to him/her other sources and people said that it is Saturday while others said its Sunday. Since the Bible is my source of faith, doctrine and practice and not other people or sources lets check it out of what day is the Sabbath day.
In Exodus 20:10 we can read that the 7th day of the week was called Sabbath day.
"but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God..."
also in Exodus 16:26
Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is a Sabbath, there willbe none."
According to Dictionary.com Sabbath is the "seventh day of the week, Saturday, as the day of rest and religious observance among Jews and some Christians. Ex. 20:8-11."
In conclusion, according to the Bible and dictionary Sabbath day is the 7th day of the week which is Saturday and not Sunday.
